Replace with: The government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis with Bruker AXS LLC to repair two Bruker XFlash 6/60 X-ray detectors (and the associated signal processing box). Repairs will be performed at the contractor’s facility by original-equipment-manufacturer trained personnel, using only OEM-approved parts, tools, software, test equipment, and methodologies, with adherence to the manufacturer’s service protocols and instrument specifications. The objective is to restore the detectors to meet the performance specifications defined at the time of their original purchase, and to provide documentation showing these detectors meet those specs.

The sole-source justification rests on the proprietary nature of the XFlash 6/60 detectors and Bruker AXS LLC’s unique capability to disassemble, repair, refurbish, and return the equipment to full operation. Interested parties that believe they can satisfy the requirements may submit a capability statement describing their ability to do so.
