The 482nd Contracting Flight at Homestead ARB, FL intends to issue a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price Contract under the authority of 10 United States Code (USC) 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to GASTOPS INC 4960 Corporate DR NW Ste 140 Huntsville, Alabama 35805-6209. The applicable NAICS is 334516 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. ChipCHECK CC121 is a proprietary system approved for use by the US Departement of Air Force. No other general-purpose analytical wear debris analysis tool can utilizes the same technology as the ChipCHECK CC121unit provided only by Gastops Inc. Moreover, Gastops Inc. is the only manufacturer of ChipCHECK and also the only authorized service provider. The Contracting Officer has determined that the required item can only be obtained directly from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Gastops Inc. The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirement: -Quantity 1 ChipCHECK 121 NSN:6650-01-665-6490 -All items must be covered by manufacturer s warranty and procured through a manufacturer approved distribution channel. Original equipment manufacturer warranty period of performance begins on the date the equipment is shipped to Homestead ARB, FL. -Shipping FOB: Destination -Inspection: Destination -Acceptance: Destination There are no solicitation documents; however, any vendors that believe they can meet the requirements described should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government s requirement. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement can be conducted. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e. Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR part 12. All information furnished shall be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the government representative to evaluate and determine if it can meet the requirement.
