Summary

AI-generated · Jan 08, 2026

A firm-fixed-price procurement is planned for the HC/MC-130 Aerial Nozzle Press (Coupler), NSN 1680-01-530-3831, P/N 50725, with a quantity of 137 for HC/MC-130 aircraft. The part is a non-commercial refueling hose coupler that includes a housing, locking mechanism, poppet valve, and connector, plus a hose-end pressure-regulating feature to prevent surges in fuel delivery and protect fuel-system components on both the tanker and receiver aircraft. The design uses a cone-shaped housing to guide the mating nozzle and employs three locking mechanisms actuated by the receiver nozzle, with passages allowing fluid pressure to assist the locking action.

This is a sole-source requirement to BLUE AEROSPACE LLC, the authorized supplier for the OEM, Mission Systems Davenport Inc. (formerly Eaton Industrial Corporation), meaning there is no anticipated competition for this item. This notice is informational and not a solicitation; it does not constitute a commitment, nor are any funds available for responses. Any information provided is voluntary.

Intent to Procure: HC/MC-130 Aerial Nozzle Press National Stock Number (NSN):1680-01-530-3831 Description The Government intends to release a firm fixed price request for proposal on or before 15 January 2026, sole source, to BLUE AEROSPACE LLC for the manufacture of the HC/MC-130 Aerial Nozzle Press (Hereafter referred to as the Coupler or Coupling), National Stock Number (NSN):1680-01-530-3831, Part Number (P/N): 50725, which is a non-commercial item that is applicable to the HC/MC-130 Aircrafts. The quantity is 137. The Coupling National Stock Number (NSN):1680-01-530-3831, Part Number (P/N): 50725, is attached to the refueling hose just AFT of the ejection spring. The coupling consists primarily of a housing, locking mechanism, poppet valve, and connector. The coupling also includes a hose end pressure regulating feature which prevents surges in fuel delivery pressure, which prevents damage to fuel system components on the receiver airplane, and also to an extent on the tanker airplane. The housing is cone shaped to guide the entrance of the mating nozzle on the receiver airplane. There are three locking mechanisms, consisting of spring-loaded pistons, eccentrically attached to arms and rollers. Insertion of the receiver probe nozzle actuates the arm and roller assemblies. Passages are provided in the housing to allow a sample of fluid pressure into piston chambers of the locking mechanisms. This fluid pressure, tapped from the fuel flow passing to the receiver airplane, adds pressure to the roller locking mechanisms to increase the force required for disconnect to 420 20 pounds. The spring-loaded closed poppet valve is mounted in a ball-shaped housing extension. The poppet valve is opened by the tip of the receiver airplane probe nozzle upon its insertion. The connector, with a ring and connector cap, forms a socket for the ball shaped housing extension. Impediment to Competition: The Original Manufacturer (OEM) for the Coupling is Eaton Industrial Corporation, who is now known as Mission Systems Davenport Inc. (a.k.a Eaton Mission Systems Davenport Inc.), Cage 72429., however Mission Systems Davenport Inc. no longer supports acquisitions and instead utilizes Blue Aerospace LLC, Cage 1WZW9, as their authorized supplier. They are the only authorized and approved supplier of the OEM. DISCLAIMER This is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers, and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary.

This action is to establish a Requirements Contract for the acquisition of the HC/MC-130 Aerial Nozzle Press (Hereafter referred to as the Coupler or Coupling),National Stock Number (NSN):1680-01-530-3831, Part Number (P/N): 50725, which is a non-commercial item that is applicable to the HC/MC-130 Aircrafts. The Coupling National Stock Number (NSN):1680-01-530-3831, Part Number(P/N): 50725, is attached to the refueling hose just AFT of the ejection spring. The coupling consists primarily of a housing, locking mechanism, poppet valve, and connector. The coupling also includes a hose end pressure regulating feature which pre-vents surges in fuel delivery pressure, which prevents damage to fuel system components on the receiver airplane, and also to an extent on the tanker airplane. Passages are provided in the housing to allow a sample of fluid pressure into piston chambers of locking mechanisms. This fluid pressure, tapped from the fuel flow passing to the receiver airplane, adds pressure to the roller locking mechanisms to in-crease the force required for disconnect to420 20 pounds. The spring-loaded closed poppet valve is mounted in a ball-shaped housing extension. The poppet valve is opened by the tip of the receiver airplane probe nozzle upon its insertion. The connector, with a ring and connector cap, forms a socket for the ball shaped housing extension. The Government does not own the technical data package for this item. This requirement will be solicited sole source to manufacturer BLUEAEROSPACE LLC (CAGE 1WZW9) pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1); FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
