The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services (OAGS), is issuing this sources sought announcement on behalf of the Human Food Program, Office of Applied Microbiology and Technology, to: Identify vendors capable of providing the Illumina NextSeq 500 Silver Support Plan described below. Determine the availability and status of potential domestic sources. Determine small business participation under NAICS Code 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance (Small Business Size Standard: $34 million). Background The FDA Human Food Program, Office of Applied Microbiology and Technology, has maintained preventative maintenance coverage on the Illumina NextSeq 500 sequencing instrument (S/N NS500464) to ensure consistent performance and quality of data for food safety research. The current maintenance contract has expired and a new plan is required to begin immediately. Objective To acquire a Silver Support Plan for the Illumina NextSeq 500 instrument for a base period of 12 months and four (4) additional option years. Scope of Work The contractor shall provide a Silver Support Maintenance Agreement for the Illumina NextSeq 500 instrument (S/N NS500464) to include: Full coverage for parts, labor, and travel Reagent replacement upon hardware failure One (1) preventative maintenance (PM) service per year Remote technical support 2-business day on-site response time Control software and hardware updates On-site applications support Place of Performance Mod-1 8301 Muirkirk Road Room 3813 Laurel, MD 20708 Period of Performance Base Year: 08/01/2025 07/31/2026 Option Year 1: 08/01/2026 07/31/2027 Option Year 2: 08/01/2027 07/31/2028 Option Year 3: 08/01/2028 07/31/2029 Option Year 4: 08/01/2029 07/31/2030 Requested Information from Vendors Interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement that includes the following: Company name, mailing address, CAGE Code, and UEI Recommended NAICS code (if different from above) Business size and socioeconomic status (e.g., small, 8(a), woman-owned, veteran-owned) Whether your company is a domestic manufacturer or authorized service provider Any existing GSA Schedule or GWAC contracts that include these services Capability to meet the service requirements, including availability of trained Illumina service engineers Whether your company can meet the required response times and provide documentation or proof of past performance with similar contracts Disclaimer and Important Notes This is not a request for proposal and does not commit the Government to a contract.
