Hatchery Juvenile Chinook for Research, Monitoring, and Evaluations The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District (USACE), intends to negotiate/award a sole-source, purchase order with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). The purpose of this requirement is to furnish hatchery juvenile Chinook for fulfilling research, monitoring, and evaluation (RM&E) needs for the Willamette Valley Project dams. The specific work will be performed at a combination of Marion Forks, South Santiam, McKenzie/Leaburg, and Willamette Hatcheries, as well as Minto, Foster, and Dexter Fish Facilities in the Willamette Valley. As ODFW operates the referenced hatcheries they are the only vendor available to complete the required RM&E operations. The period of performance is for approximately 18 months from August 2025 through January 2027. Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106 -1(b), only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement to the contracting officer before the notice end date.
