Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Requires 506 Harness W44 assemblies (NSN 1005-01-566-1838) to be delivered to DODAAC W25G1U W1A8 with a 600-day delivery window. It is a FOB Origin procurement with First Destination Transportation and Inspection/Acceptance at Destination. This item is not set aside for small business and is not a commercial item, so FAR Part 12 does not apply. Bidders may express interest within 15 days of the notice. Proposals will be evaluated on a best-value basis considering price, past performance, and delivery. The solicitation will be posted on DIBBS after the issue date, with technical drawings/bid sets available online; hard copies are not provided. Upload proposals through DIBBS or email them (max 15 MB per message) to Jennifer.Payne@dla.mil. Access to the technical data may require a one-time JCP validation request (jcpvalidation@dla.mil); if approved, notification will occur within three business days, and vendors must keep current company information in all correspondence. Depending on the NSN, access to certain technical data via DLA cFolders may be required, and relevant standards documents can be obtained from the DODSSP as needed.

Record 2 notes a separate Sources Sought for HARNESS W44, with no additional details provided. This indicates the government is seeking market interest for this item, but no procurement specifics are available in this notice.

Contract Specialist: Jennifer L. Payne Email: jennifer.payne@dla.mil NSN: 1005-01-566-1838 Approved Source(s) – n/a ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The AMC/AMSC for the NSN listed above is “1G” AMC "1" Suitable for competitive acquisition. AMSC "G" The Government has rights to the technical data, the data package is complete, and there are no technical data, engineering, tooling or manufacturing restrictions. (This is the only AMSC that implies that parts are candidates for full and open competition. Other AMSCs such as K, M, N, Q, and S may imply limited competition when two or more independent sources exist yet the technical data package is inadequate for full and open competition.) AMCs 1 or 2 are valid. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please review the NSN listed above and provide any sources that may be able to manufacture these items. The approved sources for this NSN are currently listed above. All information may be submitted directly to the Contract Specialist listed above. This information must be provided by the response date indicated above. Should a company wish to be reviewed and qualified as an “Approved Source”, they may submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land and Maritime is procuring. For further information, please reference the DLA Land Maritime web page shown below and click on the highlight: Alternate Offer/Source Approval Program for detailed explanation for the information and format necessary for a SAR and for the SAR approval process. https://www.dla.mil/Land-and-Maritime/Business/Selling/Alternate-Offers Thank you in advance for your assistance.
