The Government intends to award a construction contract for the repair of hangar doors in B1200, B1511 and B1614 as a Small Business Set Aside but in the event this requirement cannot be met through a Small Business Set Aside, the Government may award to an Other Than Small Business. This requirement is for a construction contract to restore and modernize hangar door systems at Buildings 1200, 1511, and 1614. The Government?s objective is to ensure these hangar doors are safe, reliable, and fully functional in support of flightline and installation operations. The Contractor shall be responsible for planning, designing, constructing, and managing all activities necessary to achieve the objectives of the attached Statement of Objectives (SOO). The SOO is subject to changes/updates by time of solicitation post. The Government will not direct or control the Contractor?s construction means and methods but will evaluate approach based on compliance with the objectives and acceptance criteria defined herein. The purpose of the SOO is to define the objectives, performance outcomes, and constraints for the construction effort while allowing Offerors the flexibility to propose effective and innovative design and construction solutions.
