PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price, base plus two (2) option year contract to THE LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY, SAM UEI HJD6G4D6TJY5 at VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) located at 3801 Miranda Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304. This is an intent to sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. This announcement constitutes the only notice of intent to sole source and synopsis of the proposed action. The solicitation for this action will be posted to Contract Opportunities, and all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. After consideration, the Government will determine whether to proceed with the sole source acquisition. The requirement is to provide radiation safety program for VAPAHCS for all sites licensed to use radioactive materials for medical use. The estimated Period of Performance will be 12/1/2025 11/30/2028. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days of this publication by contacting Cynthia Diezel via email at Cynthia.diezel@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Responses are due no later than Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00AM Pacific Standard Time. A Justification and Approval (J&A) will be executed by the Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA) for the new contract and will be posted to SAM.gov within 14 days of award as required by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.01(a)(1)(iii).
