THE WORK CONSISTS OF TOTAL SCHEDULE NO. 1 AND THREEE (3) OPTIONS TO PERFORM MAINTENANCE DREDGING AND TO ADDRESS SHOALING AS FOLLOWS: Schedule 1 - Maintenance Dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) between High Island and Chocolate Bayou, Section Nos. 1- 8 totaling approximately 825,000 Cubic Yards (CY). Option 1 Maintenance Dredging of North Ferry Channel, Section No. 9 of approximately 96,000 CY. An additional 15 calendar days will be added to contract duration if Option No.1 is exercised. Option 2 Offats Bayou, Section Nos. 10-12 dredging of approximately 34,000 CY. An additional 20 calendar days will be added to contract duration if Option No.2 is exercised. Option 3 Chocolate Bayou Section Nos. 13-17 maintenance dredging of approximately 146,000 CY. An additional 50 calendar days will be added to contract duration if Option No.3 is exercised. 1. Completion Time for Schedule No.1 is estimated at 160 Calendars Days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time as specified in the solicitation, the contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to the Government in the amount of $4,525.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. 2. Bonding Requirement. The Contractor will be required to provide the Performance and Payment Bonds within Five (5) Calendar Days after award. The contractor shall began work within Ten (10) Calendar Days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) 5.
