This industry day is to identify sources to refurbish a Grove 30 Ton Rough Terrain Crane To facilitate the scope of the refurbish IPD Ft Macon will host an Industry Day on July 15, 2025. This event is part of IOD s market research that will be used to identify potential candidates to accomplish event listed above. The location will be USCG Industrial Production Facility (IPD), 2301 East Ft Macon Rd, Atlantic Beach, NC 28557. The Industry Day will consist of a review of the USCG s minimum requirements with the Grove Crane available for inspection Questions shall be submitted after the event, in writing to the primary point of contact listed below by July 22, 2025. Only questions received in writing will be answered and posted to SAM.Gov. As part of the Industry Day, the USCG will be requesting a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) be submitted by all interested parties by July 22, 2025. ROM information provided by vendors will not be released to the public or any other vendors. This information is for market research purposes only. Vendors are requested to provide the following information in their ROM, along with expected lead time of equipment/parts and a proposed Period of Performance: Event - Provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) to ensure product meets necessary criteria. Requirements of the Crane Refurbishment may include, but are not limited to: Inspect, repair or replace engine shroud, coolant expansion tank sight glass, and couplings. Inspect, repair or replace worn wire ropes, hook block, and sheaves. Inspect, repair or replace hydraulic pipes and hoses. Lubricate and calibrate all mechanical components. Replace outdated or damaged wiring, relays, connectors and lights. Upgrade control systems to current industrial standards if required. Verify switches and emergency stop functions, function as designed. Inspect superstructure, turntable and carrier. To include but not limited to welds, fasteners, surfaces, cover hold downs and handrails. Remove corrosion and repaint surfaces using Grove approved coatings preferably a high build epoxy coating Repair or replace structural elements per applicable codes. Inspect, repair or replace wire ropes and sheaves integrated within each of the boom sections. Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 Subpart N and ASME B30 standards. Install or update safety labels, warning signs, and verify failsafe systems functions work according to manufactures design. Verify grounding and bonding are in accordance with NEC and MIL-STD-1310. Perform post-refurbishment operational and load testing (per ASME B30.5, (OSHA), USCG Technical standards and specifications 589 Cranes (TS-589 Cranes). Submit final test reports, load certification, and documentation of work performed for machinery history logs. Contractors must register to attend this event. Interested parties shall submit the attached registration form no later than July 8, 2025, at 4:00pm EST. Base access will not be granted without this information. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) 541512.
