After reviewing the Statement of Work, we would like to request clarification on the following points to ensure accurate pricing and technical planning for our proposal: Tank Capacity Specifications Please confirm the size(s) and capacity ratings of the HALON 1301 storage tanks to be used during testing. Expected Gas Consumption per Test Cycle Please provide the estimated quantity of HALON 1301 expected to be released during each test cycle. Total Number of Test Iterations Planned Please confirm the total number of tests to be conducted for each aircraft configuration. HALON 1301 Supply Responsibility Will the USCG provide the HALON 1301 for testing, or is the contractor expected to supply it? ANSWER #1: Tank Capacity Specifications Empty bottle weight 2.653lbs. Charged with 2.581lbs of bromotrifluormethane (CBrF3) HALON, and .094lbs of nitrogen (N). Expected Gas Consumption per Test Cycle 2.581lbs of bromotrifluormethane (CBrF3). Total Number of Test Iterations Planned Up to a total of eight separate test cycles for various engine cowling configurations. HALON 1301 Supply Responsibility The USCG will supply all HALON.
