THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT FA462526Q1002 Whiteman AFB, Mo 65305 19 September 2025 Whiteman AFB intends to award as a sole source solicitation, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), a contract for inspection and maintenance of the MERLIN system for the 509th Operations Group. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811210 and the small business size is $34,000,000. The assigned Service Code is J052. This service is for the maintenance of the MERLIN Bird Strike system. This system aids the flight line in keeping the area free of birds and safe for the planes. This is a reacquisition of contract FA462520C0020. Through market research via a sources sought posted on SAM.gov and confirmation with Detect, Inc. there is no other contractor approved to work on the existing MERLIN system. Award will be made on or after 1 October 2025. Intended awardee is Detect, Inc.
