FY26 603 AOC SATCOM BASE STATIONS & TECHNICAL SUPPORT FA561326Q0009
Summary
AI-generated · Mar 09, 2026A Firm Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded to General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. for GDMS-brand SATCOM Base Stations (P/N SBS-112) and technical support to upgrade and sustain the highly specialized SATCOM equipment currently fielded by the 603 AOC. The upgrade and technical assistance must be performed by the OEM to ensure compatibility with existing hardware, software, and proprietary system interfaces, as the SBS-112 base station is integrated with HOOK 2 PRC-112G survival radios in use by the Government. Awarding to any other source would create substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delays due to revalidation and replacement of equipment.
Interested parties may submit a capability statement by the deadline in the attached solicitation (FA561326Q0009) to demonstrate their ability to perform the requirement. The Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with a sole-source action; if no responses are received, the government will proceed with a sole-source award to GDMS.
SOLICITATON NOTICE: The 700th Contracting Squadron (700 CONS) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order on a sole source basis to General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. (GDMS); (Unique Entity ID: S4ZAF64LJ1G3). This intended contract will cover GDMS-brand SATCOM Base Stations & Technical Support. The anticipated award date is 17 March 2026. Pursuant to FAR Overhaul 6.103-1(c)(2)(ii), this requirement is a follow-on acquisition for the continued support and upgrade of highly specialized equipment currently fielded by the 603 AOC. The SATCOM Base Station (P/N: SBS-112) is already integrated with existing HOOK 2 PRC-112G survival radios in use by the Government. The required upgrade and technical assistance must be performed by the OEM to ensure compatibility with existing hardware, software, and proprietary system interfaces. Award to any source other than General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government due to the need to replace existing equipment and revalidate system compatibility. Additionally, transitioning to another source would cause unacceptable delays in meeting operational requirements. Accordingly, General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However interested parties may submit a capability statement upon the referenced deadline within the attached solicitation (FA561326Q0009) demonstrating their ability to perform the requirement described herein. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source action. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the 700 CONS will proceed with the sole source award to GDMS. See attached solicitation (COMBO-SOLICITATION FA561326Q0009)
