All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Sources Sought number is FY26_USAFA_Swimsuits_Compression_Shorts and shall be used to reference any written responses to this sources sought. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) anticipates a requirement that is being considered under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed is 315250. The size standard for NAICS is 750 employees. This requirement is for USAFA cadet swimsuits and compression shorts which are mandatory issue items. LRS Cadet Uniform Section has a continuing need for these items. The swimsuits and compression shorts must be ordered and received in time for scheduled clothing events in June 2026. The Buy American Act DFARS 252.225-7001 will apply to this acquisition. The government will not provide Government Furnished Material (GFM); the contractor will be responsible for procuring all materials to manufacture the garments. A first article sample will be required in accordance with FAR 52.209-4 Alt 1. The government intends to solicit a firm-fixed price contract. The required estimated quanities are as follows (exact quantities and sizes will be included with the award): 0001 Shorts Compression MNS 2,850 each 0002 Shorts Compression WMNS 450 each 0003 Swimsuit MNS 500 each 0004 Swimsuit WMNS 170 each Delivery is FOB Destination to USAF Academy, CO 88040. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS/REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATIONS: At a minimum, the women's swim suits must meet the following specifications: Material composition: 85% Nylon / 15% Spandex Poly/spandex Moderate leg cut wide straps Racerback with keyhole Performance back Shelf bra Fully lined Color: Royal Blue Standard Sizes: Swimsuit, WMns, 32, XSM (0-2); Swimsuit, WMns, 34, SM (4-6); Swimsuit, WMns, 36, MED (8-10) At a minimum, the men's swim suits must meet the following specifications: 100 nylon Taslon Mesh brief liner Elastic waist Lightweight, Boxer brief liner Anti-chafing 5" - 6" inseam, Elastic waistband with drawcord. Color : Royal Blue Standard Sizes: Swimsuit, Mns, SM (28-31); Swimsuit, Mns, MED (32-35); Swimsuit, Mns, LG (36-39); Swimsuit, Mns, XXLG (45-47) At a minimum, the compression shorts must meet the following specifications: Made from nylon/elastane-type fabric Moisture wicking material 4-way stretch elastic Dark navy blue in color through and through Compression shorts In response to this sources sought provide the following capabilities package: Company Name POC/Name and contact information SAM.gov: UEID/CAGE Code and expiration date Socio-economic status Any related specifications/capabilities in providing the requirement and whether your company can provide both the swimsuits and compression shorts Please note: All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database.
