This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is being posted to satisfy the requirement of DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a firm fixed price modification under contract N0001924C0004 to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald Pennsylvania. This modification will add FY 2027 & 2028 production of the BDU-59C/B LGTR to the contract. Contract Award is anticipated for quarter 2 (Q2) of fiscal year 2027. This SSN is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement is anticipated to be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302?1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. LMMFC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. A determination not to compete this contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contract modification award is anticipated for quarter 1 (Q1) of calendar year (CY)2027. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any responses received. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
