Actual dates are dependent on threatened birds using the areas as well as frost/freeze dates or short photoperiods that cause vegetation to stop growing for the season. In general, the desired dates will be August 26th through October 4th for North Dakota and September 3rd through October 9th for South Dakota/Nebraska.
