Summary

AI-generated · Feb 18, 2026

Qualified vendors are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to provide elevator service, repair, and maintenance for Idaho National Laboratory facilities managed by Battelle Energy Alliance. The scope covers routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive service to keep elevators and escalators operating safely and reliably. This EOI is the initial step to identify capable subcontractors for a potential future RFP; not all requirements will be listed here, and selection for the RFP will be determined by BEA.

Submittal requirements include: company name and point of contact; description of relevant elevator and escalator services; NAICS codes and business size classification; and any DOE or federal contracting experience. The formal RFP/SOW will contain additional, more specific submittal requirements. Submissions may contain proprietary information and should be marked accordingly. Only respondents selected by BEA will receive an invitation to participate in the anticipated RFP.

1. INTRODUCTION Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC (BEA) is the Management and Operating (M&O) Contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL). BEA is requesting an Expression of Interest (EOI) from Prospective Offerors (Subcontractors) that are qualified and capable to provide elevator service, repair, and maintenance. 2. BACKGROUND INL is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory dedicated to nuclear energy, national security, and clean energy innovation. To maintain operational efficiency and safety, BEA is seeking qualified vendors to provide services, including repair, maintenance and regular service, to keep our elevators and escalators in good working condition. 3. PROCESS This EOI is the first step in identifying interested and qualified vendors. Responses may be used to inform the development of a formal solicitation list. Selected vendors may be invited to participate in a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for award consideration. Not all potential requirements for this RFP and subsequent potential contract are necessarily listed in this EOI and will be part of the RFP. 4. SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS Interested vendors should submit an Expression of Interest that includes the following: Company name and point of contact Description of relevant elevator and escalator services NAICS codes and business size classification Any existing DOE or federal contracting experience (if applicable) Note: The formal Request For Proposal and Statement Of Work will contain additional and more specific submittal requirements. Please provide your expression of interest by email to: Chase Egbert (chase.egbert@inl.gov) by 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 27th 2026 Please contact Chase Egbert (via email) with questions. Only select respondents, as determined by BEA, will receive an invitation to participate in the anticipated RFP solicitation. 5. PROPRIETARY INFORMATION Because information received in response to this EOI may be business sensitive or proprietary to the responding party, respondents must mark information in their responses accordingly.
