The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses (e.g., 8(a), Veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women-owned small businesses); and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND OBJECTIVE: Our project aims to enhance our understanding of neurodegenerative diseases, specifically amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), through the detailed analysis of human DNA samples using state-of-the-art, short-read whole-genome sequencing. We will conduct association analyses to map the genetic factors that contribute to these human diseases, which claim the lives of thousands of Americans each year. Our findings will shed light on the complex genetic landscape of neurodegeneration and ultimately provide targets for therapeutic development. Must be capable of working with gVCFs that have been generated using the DRAGEN alignment pipeline (version 4.3). Must be able to retain the INFO and QUALITY CONTROL information embedded in the single-sample gVCF input files, for use in downstream filtering and analyses. Must be able to provide n+1 sample calling infrastructure, thereby allowing new samples to be added to a dataset without the need to reprocess the entire dataset from scratch each time.
