The Government proposes to acquire the Digital Exciter (DEX) Mod Kit (US PN 13741482 and FMS 13741481) for the Patriot Missile Weapons System. The Raytheon Corporate Contract is in the process of being finalized. Until then, the Defense Logistics Agency is continuing to issue solicitations against the new contract, which is being worked under SPRBL1-25-R-0001. This will be placed on the new indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Alpha 6 contract (Contract number TBD) in support of Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Program Office. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2) having only one responsible source. The data needed to acquire these parts competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves.
