The Department of State (DoS), Bureau of Medical Services (MED), Directorate of Operations, Readiness, Security (ORS) is hosting an Industry Best Practice Conference to conduct market research and seek industry input as it prepares to solicit sources for future aviation support to solve problems and execute missions. MED/ORS aviation program maintains the Department s only standing transoceanic aviation support capability for biocontainment medical evacuations, but also supports non-biocontainment medical evacuations, and other short-notice requirements as necessitated by the Department. This is accomplished with on-demand aviation medium business jets which are highly configurable. This market research event will be a way for MED Aviation to gauge interest and identify potential business sources with the resources, capabilities, and experience to successfully deliver requisite services to sustain the Department s aviation mission. Industry should be prepared to discuss innovative solutions to problems, available technologies, and capabilities. The Department staff will present a MED Aviation overview briefing, describe functional core and support contract requirements, and offer opportunities for one-on-one sessions with the Government. The conference will be held on December 8, 2025, at 10:00am, in Chantilly, Virginia with follow-on one-on-one discussions. The exact location and agenda will be provided to the registered participants through email.
