The Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Healthcare System intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Sole-Source action to: Name of Contractor: Proquest, LLC Street Address: 789 E Eisenhower PKWY City, State, Zip: Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48108-3218 ProQuest, LLC is a large corporate entity that provides a host of medical and other resources to libraries. This request is for web-based access for unlimited users to Health and Medical Complete database, which provides electronic journals for use by clinicians for research and treatment purposes. The online titles required available in one complete database are only available through Health and Medical Complete, and Health and Medical Complete is only available through Proquest. This online database provides clinical staff on both campuses access to the Proquest Health and Medical Complete 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Staff use the information provided by this database for research purposes to provide service to veterans. VA New Jersey was a subscriber previously to ProQuest Health & Medical Collection. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. If no affirmative written response is received by Closing Date/Time, the contract will be issued without further notice.
