Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations. USFWS Division of IRTM intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract for a 6-month base period with a 6-month option period under the authority of FAR 8,405-6(a)(1)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized to: Cloudshape LLC 4000 Garden City Dr. Hyattsville, Maryland 20785 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services. This sole source award aims to facilitate the transition of our on-premises Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to Azure-based Virtual Desktop (AVD) solution. The tasks to be performed by Cloudshape include, assessment, planning, migration execution, and ongoing managed services. The services required for the design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of the Microsoft Azure public cloud-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) pilot system are unique and highly specialized. The complexity of migrating to a cloud-based VDI solution necessitates expertise in Azure architecture, configuration, and management that is not readily available. Cloudshape LLC, possesses specific experience and technical capabilities in deploying Azure VDI solutions, including a proven track record of successful implementations in similar environments. Their deep understanding of Azure's infrastructure, security protocols, and integration processes ensures that the services provided will meet the stringent quality and compliance standards required by the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). Furthermore, the unique nature of the Azure platform and the specific requirements of the FWS necessitate a tailored approach that only a specialized provider like Cloudshape can deliver. Engaging a contractor with this level of expertise minimizes risks associated with the migration process, ensures operational continuity, and enhances the overall effectiveness of the VDI solution. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party that believes it can meet the above requirements may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement must be submitted in writing and should contain clear and convincing evidence that competitive bidding for this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
