Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for Landline Wired and Fax Services in Palm Springs, CA. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Pacific Region Office (PRO), intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract with Frontier California Inc., a Non-Indian Owned Business, for Landline and Fax services at the Palm Springs Agency in Palm Springs, CA under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Frontier California Inc. will provide business landline services that support telecommunications (ISDN-PRI) with internal phone system. ISDN-PRI provides up to 40 business lines and basic centranet lines to support three fax lines and one business (POTS) for alarm system for the performance period of 10/1/2025 - 9/30/2026, with (2) Option years. Frontier Communications is the only provider of this service in the Coachella Valley. Frontier can provide a pick code service to the FTS 2000 for long distance calls. The Agency is unable to direct connect to a government FTS 2000 phone system because of the remote area. This type of service is only available through Frontier Communications. Frontier Communications provides security for the internal phone system and provide the necessary services to detect and prevent the hacking internal phone system to deter fraudulent phone lines. No solicitation is available, and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 517111 and the Business Size Standard is 1,500 employees. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive quotes, no solicitation documents exist, and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement.
