Summary

AI-generated · Jun 11, 2026

Renewal of the annual Customer Care Program for the NIST Charleston Biorepository’s perpetual license of Freezerworks Summit Edition sample management software. The program provides maintenance releases, software upgrades, and unlimited technical support for the system that manages metadata and storage for over 100,000 biospecimen and environmental samples. Sole-source justification rests on DataWorks Development, Inc. being the author, exclusive owner, and sole provider of Freezerworks products, possessing the unique technical competence and IP rights, with maintenance services required to be obtained directly from the OEM.

Contract would be a firm-fixed-price arrangement for a 12-month base period, with four 12-month option periods to cover ongoing maintenance and support. No solicitation package will be issued; responses may be considered to determine whether a future competitive procurement will be conducted. Interested parties should submit a bona fide capability statement by the stated deadline through the designated government contact. DataWorks is registered in SAM.GOV.
