SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. The following Addendum is being issued for the subject Request for Quotation: #356911_Cryocooler - Change to Technical evaluation criteria: - #5. This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive. Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal. Source selection will be based on Lowest Price and Technically Acceptable Method (LPTA). Technical evaluation criteria are as follows: - To be received at SLAC by 9/30/2025 - Provide base temperature in customer’s Oxford Cyostat of 10 K or less - Closed-cycle cooling system compatible with customer’s Oxford helium cryostat input and exit flow on coaxial transfer line. Cryostat can be provided for design. - Can act as a spare for SSRL beam line 7-3 closed cycle cryocooler system, which has an Oxford helium cryostat, and an air-cooled compressor (208 V input) and sealed helium lines. - Dimensions less than 16 inch wide by 16 inch deep by 35 inch tall. - Capable of continuous 24-hour operation over the 9-month SSRL operating cycle.
