Summary

AI-generated · Mar 09, 2026

Provide information from vendors on Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) capabilities, emphasizing detection of low-flying threats and providing fully burdened, low-cost defeat options. The effort includes using a provided Medusa C2 SDK to perform an initial integration into the Small Unmanned Aircraft Defense System (SUADS) and then gathering feedback on improvements, issues/bugs, and general SDK suggestions. The RFI has three parts: (1) feedback on the Medusa C2 SDK, (2) information on Proliferated Low-Altitude Detect (PLAD) technologies, and (3) information on Low-Cost Kinetic Defeat (LCKD) technologies. Vendors may respond to any subset, but must fully complete all inputs for the parts they address.

The RFI will help identify potential vendors to participate in a late May 2026 demonstration of their PLAD, LCKD, and/or SDK integration capabilities to refine government requirements. Submissions should follow the section 4 criteria and be organized for review. Responses are informational and non-binding; they do not constitute a solicitation, do not commit the government to contract, and respondents bear their own response costs. Submit responses via the designated USAF points of contact.

AFLCMC/ESSK office is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to improve understanding of market landscape to identify qualified vendors capable of providing Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) capability focused on detecting low flying threats and providing fully burdened low-cost defeat options. Part of this effort will involve using a provided Software Development Kit (SDK) to perform initial integration into the Small Unmanned Aircraft Defense System (SUADS) and Medusa Command-and-Control (C2). After initially integrating the program office will be looking to illicit feedback on improvements, issues / bugs, and general suggestions for the SDK. This RFI has three parts: (1) requested feedback on the Medusa C2 SDK, (2) requested information on Proliferated Low-Altitude Detect (PLAD) technologies, and (3) requested information on Low-Cost Kinetic Defeat (LCKD) technologies. Vendors DO NOT have to respond to all three parts. However, whichever parts vendors choose to fill out, ensure all requested inputs in that part are fully filled out. The RFI will be used to identify potential vendors that may be offered to participate in a late May 2026 demonstration of their PLAD, LCKD and/or SDK integration capabilities to help refine government requirements. Please see Section 4 for criteria to be requested to participate in the event. Instructions: Your submission should be organized in accordance with the instructions in this document to permit a thorough and accurate review and evaluation by the USAF. Comments, inquiries and responses to this RFI must be submitted to the USAF via electronic mail to the following: Mr. Robert Gill at robert.gill.12@us.af.mil and Captain Adam Factor at adam.factor.1@us.af.mil. Disclaimer: THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS SOLELY FOR INFORMATIONAL AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract, nor do they affect a potential offeror's ability to respond to any future synopsis/solicitation, which may or may not follow or restrict the Government's eventual acquisition approach. The Government will not provide reimbursement for any information that may be submitted in response to this notice, and no basis for a claim against the Government shall arise from a response to this notice or Government use of any information provided. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
