The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a Contractor to unload dredged material stockpiled on Corps Island in the Upper Mississippi River. Approximately 300,000 cubic yards of stockpiled dredge material will be transferred via mechanical and/or hydraulic excavation methods. Corps Island is located in Upper Mississippi River Pool 3 at River Mile 799.2 near Diamond Bluff, WI. The island is without road access, and has historically been used as a placement site for material dredged from the main channel of the Mississippi River. The estimated magnitude of construction for this contract (including options) is between $5 million and $10 million. The winning bidder is responsible for providing disposal capacity for the project, using a readily available commercial site (e.g. gravel/sand pit) and/or beneficial use sites.
