Industry Day will present the plan for a major repair and modernization of a historic federal building in Washington, DC using a Design-Bid-Build/Construction-Manager-as-Constructor delivery approach. It is open to general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers who may bid the project. The event is informational only, not a solicitation, and attendees can review proposed project features, ask questions, and provide feedback to help improve the procurement. Mandatory pre-registration is required and walk-ins (including virtual attendees) are not allowed; a linked online form will be used for questions and comments.

Core and shell will be fully designed and awarded at a firm-fixed-price; interior and exterior work will be designed progressively and awarded with GMP ceilings, with the contractor providing advisory management during planning and design and then acting as construction manager during construction. Procurement will use a two-phase RFP (qualification phase followed by pricing) with best-value selection; there is a concurrent Sources Sought notice. Additional elements include NEPA approval, Architect of Record and Design Architects, and an Art-in-Architecture program, with the contract duration and completion aligned to the project schedule.
