The Naval Medical Research Center intends to award a sole source contract to Coherent, NA, Plymouth, Michigan 48170. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, if interested, the government shall consider all responses. The requirement is for a contract for the purchase of one 10kW fiber optic laser system (1070nm multi-mode power 10-100%), associated hoses and cables, shipping, installation, and training. The Tri-Service Research Lab (TSRL) facility, where the NAMRU-SA DE directorate is located, can only support a 480V supply, so the laser system must be configured to provide that same voltage. This system is used for high-power exposure research to determine acute and long-term health effects, for Naval Medical Research Unit, San Antonio, TX. This will support NAMRU-SA research projects with marginal disruption. POP: FY 25 - FY 26; The anticipated period of performance is a base period of 12 months, with no option years.
