Presolicitaion Notice SPRDL125R0159 Item Name: Clutch, Fan, Engine NSN: 2930-01-668-5049 Part No: (N/A) 98E0012S/4358272 Min Quantity: 60 EA Max Quantity: up to 1483 EA End Item: This fan clutch is for the engine of the Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) system specifically the M1070 truck and M1000 trailer combination used to transport tanks and other heavy military equipment. The Government does not have rights to the Technical Data Package (TDP) or specifications. This component acts as a smart connector between the engine s fan and its speed, regulating cooling based on engine temperature. Rather than running the fan constantly at full speed, the clutch increases fan speed when the engine is hot and reduces it when cooler, optimizing performance, saving fuel, and minimizing wear and tear on the engine. Essentially, it ensures the engine remains at a safe operating temperature during demanding operations. The purpose of this amendment 0001 to solicitation SPRDL1-25-R-0159 is to update CS8001 narrative and input FAR 52.216-19 to the solicitation. 1. CS8001 Contractor Retention of Supply Chain Traceability Documentation (See below and CS8001). 2. Order Limitations (See below and Section I). 3. All other terms and conditions of solicitation SPRDL1-25-R-0159 remain in full force and effect.
