CES - Automatic Generator Monitoring Devices QA44FA03
Summary
AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025A Remote Generator Monitoring System is sought that can locally log data (including run-time hours) and allow data to be downloaded to a laptop via a cable, with no cellular or internet connection and no cloud storage. The system must be self-contained and secure in remote locations, storing data locally and providing a straightforward, non-proprietary procedure to retrieve information directly to a laptop for analysis and reporting. It should continuously monitor generator performance and include features such as discrete alarm inputs, analog inputs, control relays, a serial port, alert speakers, and an LCD display, with no annual subscription or renewal fees for data storage or connectivity.
Respondents should provide: an assessment of whether the requirements are military-unique or commercially available, identify any critical or long-lead items that could affect performance and delivery, and a capability statement detailing a proposed product/solution. This market research is for planning purposes to determine potential sources and whether future competitions could be pursued; it is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to issue a contract.
DESCRIPTION 1. Purpose: The purpose of this Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research to determine local vendor capability and identify potential sources for a Remote Generator Monitoring System. This system is designed to provide comprehensive monitoring of generator performance, including run-time hours, without requiring Internet connectivity. The system is self-contained and operates independently, ensuring data security and accessibility even in remote locations. Data is stored locally, and a customized procedure is included to allow easy retrieval of information directly to a laptop for analysis and reporting without the need for additional proprietary software. This avoids the complexities and potential vulnerabilities associated with cloud-based solutions. This market research is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10. 1.1. This Sources Sought / RFI will be utilized for planning purposes to determine if responsible sources exist and to assist in determining if future efforts can be solicited on a competitive basis. This Sources Sought / RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. 1.2. PLEASE NOTE - No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this request or any follow-up information requests. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT / RFI. 2. Requirement: The Government is seeking information on a Remote Generator Monitoring System with the following critical performance characteristics: Ability to store logged data locally and download data by connecting to a laptop via cable (i.e., no cellular/internet network connection, no ethernet cables). No annual subscription/renewal fees for data storage or cellular connectivity. Discrete alarm inputs. Analog inputs. Control relays. Serial port. Alert speakers and LCD display. 3. Information Requested: Respondents are requested to provide the following information: Assessment of Commercial Availability: Provide an assessment as to whether the requirements are military unique or can be acquired to some degree in the commercial market sector. Critical and Long Lead Schedule Items: Identify, as appropriate, any critical and long lead schedule items which will impact contract performance and delivery requirements. A Capability statement: Provide a capability statement outlying a proposed product/ solution.
