Summary

AI-generated · Apr 01, 2026

Bulk cattle feed rations are being pursued under a sole-source arrangement with Livestock Nutrition Center, LLC to support an ongoing ARS project, delivered in bulk to the Oklahoma and Central Plains Agricultural Research Center as part of a tiered feeding program in which each tier’s acceptability depends on the previous one to prevent acidosis and maintain research continuity.

Two total mixed ration (TMR) formulations are required: a Low Protein Finisher TMR and a High Protein Finisher TMR, each defined on a dry matter basis with precise nutrition targets (crude protein, energy values NEm/NEg, TDN), 10% roughage, Rumensin at 28 g/ton, 4% fat, and specific fiber percentages, plus tight calcium:phosphorus ratios and detailed mineral/vitamin profiles. Each ration must include a roughage pellet with its own composition and must specify the inclusion of a roughage pellet in the final mix. Respondents must demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the government by submitting capability statements; emails are to be sent to the attached point of contact by the stated deadline. This notice is not a bid or solicitation; no solicitation document exists, phone inquiries will not be accepted, and requests for further technical information will not be honored.
