The Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, has a requirement for a musician to provide musical leadership for its Catholic Services on Saturday and Sunday Mass, and for Holiday/Special Mass as required. The requested musician must have the ability to play the piano and/or guitar, and be intimately familiar with the Catholic Services along with its liturgical requirements. The musician is expected to lead and select the proper hymns, choruss, and spiritual songs; perform preludes; postlude; offertory; and background for meditation and prayers; that enhancees the atmosphere of worship for the particular congregation. Play prelude 15 minutes prior to designated Worship Service/Ceremony start time and postlude of at least 5 minutes at the conclusion of the Worship Service/Ceremony. All job duties and personal qualifications must be performed in accordance with the attached performance work statement (PWS). Scheduled hours of performance for required musician services: (Does not include Special/Holiday Mass) Saturday Mass: 1645 - 1805 Sunday Mass: 1045 - 1205 The period of performance shall be for one base year of 12 months, and four 12-month option years.
