As part of its market research, the Saint Paul District (MVP) of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing solutions to meet the requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. MVP is seeking companies that have the capability to rebuild CAT bulldozer Model D8t. This dozer was acquired in 2011 and will have around 10,760 hours of service. All supplied parts shall be new and genuine Caterpillar Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. All mounting hardware shall be new. all work will need to be performed at Caterpillar OEM Certified Repair Facility and by Caterpillar certified technicians. All work will need to be done April 15th, 2026 This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of the MVP?s market research. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ.Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which MVP can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute an RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought.All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked Proprietary will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The intent of this contract requests a Cat Certified Rebuild conducted on a CAT D8T Dozer, SN# KPZ03120. This dozer was acquired in 2011 and will have around 10,760 hours at time of service. Additionally, while machine is being rebuilt, an appropriately sized and matched winch shall be added on the machine.
