Summary

AI-generated · Nov 19, 2025

Identify manufacturers with the capability to qualify and produce the AFCS and CNP Integrated Panel for the C-5 aircraft. The panel provides the controls and indicators for automatic flight control, with full redundancy across two GPPI stack assemblies, two independent power input buses, and two independent edge/annunciator lighting buses, sharing a single set of controls. The item is critical to maintain flight operations; failure to repair or replace serviceable assets would ground the C-5 fleet. Sustainment is planned through 2040.

Ducommun (CAGE 08719) is the original equipment manufacturer and maintains data and repair capability; the government does not possess releasable technical data for this item, so Ducommun is the only known source with the required knowledge and data. Consequently, the government intends a sole-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1 for NSN 5998-01-599-8134UC (PN 4V91084-101A) and NSN 5998-01-599-9341UC (PN 4V91083-101A). Interested parties may identify their capability; this synopsis is informational and not a solicitation, and no funds are provided for responses.
