Bonneville Old Navigation Lock (NL1) Swing Bridge PANNWD26P0000028934

Sources sought to assess industry capability and interest in replacing the Bonneville Old Navigation Lock NL1 Swing Bridge with a new fixed bridge on a new alignment, including partial demolition of the existing structure. The NL1 Swing Bridge was originally built in 1935 as a rail bridge to carry heavy transformers and was modified in 1950; seismic and operational inadequacies have led the USACE Portland District to develop design documents for a replacement on a new alignment with partial demolition of the current bridge. The project is located at Bonneville Lock and Dam, about 145 river miles from the Mouth of the Columbia River, near Cascade Locks, OR and North Bonneville, WA; see the attachment for more details.
