Hazard-tree mitigation is required to re-open roads for public use and to reduce roadside fuel accumulations. Road maintenance is needed to facilitate timber haul, and essential road reconstruction will be performed.

Phase 1 of the BCLH Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract addresses felling and removal of trees burned in the Beachie Creek and Lionshead fires (2020). The contract was awarded to Siegmund Excavation & Construction, Inc. on 2025-08-15, with a total service value of $12,716,915.55 and a total product value of $30,150.20; 75% of the product value is traded for service work. This award supports the USDA’s National Active Forest Management Strategy and advances Executive Order 14225, Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production.
