The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to negotiate a purchase order with Liquid Robotics for piloting services and are experienced and certified in operating a Wave Glider (SV3-1126) and Wage Glider Management System (WGMS). Deployment date is August 2025. Liquid Robotics is the developer of the wave glider and the Wave Glider Management System used for management and operation of wave gliders. Liquid Robotics provides piloting services, and their pilots are uniquely qualified and experienced in the operation of wave gliders and have access to and understanding of features and function of the WGMS that are proprietary to Liquid Robotics. No other vendor is able and available for Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
