***************This is not a request for quote*************** Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose, " this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice to provide Airborne Expendable Ice Beacon (AXIB) II rugged, drifting buoys that can survive the annual freeze/thaw cycles and the harsh sea ice conditions of the Seaonal Ice Zone of the Arctic and Southern oceans for the Naval Ice Center (NAVICE). This is not a solicitation announcement for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. This does not constitute a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government plans to procure these as a Commercial product as defined in FAR 2.101. NAICS CODE: 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, and the Size Standard is 750 employees.
