Summary

AI-generated · Aug 24, 2025

Remove AFFF material from fixed fire suppression systems at five Command Naval Region Japan installations in Japan, including tanks and piping up to the proportioner, and components of hangars and non-hangars facilities. After removal, rinsing is required only based on system configuration, prior use, and planned future use; all waste (AFFF concentrate, rinsate, absorbents, and PPE) must be containerized, labeled, collected, staged, documented, and shipped to an approved disposal facility.

Initially issued as market research (Sources Sought) to assess capable firms for AFFF removal, rinse, and disposal across five CNRJ locations: NAFA Atsugi, CFAS Sasebo, NAF Misawa, CFAO Okinawa, and CFAY Yokosuka. It has evolved into a combined synopsis/solicitation RFQ for the same work, with restricted CUI documents requiring review of guidance and completion of an Authorized Use and Non-Disclosure Agreement; attachments will be posted on SAM.gov, and quotes are requested with no separate written solicitation, with Amendment 0001 and referenced enclosures incorporated.
