The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with UNC Qualitative services to Durham VAMC. The Durham VA Health 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC has a Research department requirement for moral injury qualitative study. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source. H.R. 6411 506a is being administered by VA Integrative Mental Health (IMH), a national program funded out of the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP) and administratively supported by the VISN 6 MIRECC. In keeping with the instruction provided in H.R. 6411 Section 506a, the present project will expand understandings of moral injury and possibilities for moral injury care alongside maintaining and bolstering critical engagement from the clinical care providers and systems where moral injury is encountered and addressed in VA. Specifically, the qualitative work for this project will support the Section 506a aim to Complete a qualitative study of providers via interviews, focus groups, and potential site visits to VA facilities. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available, and telephone requests will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.
