Summary

AI-generated · Mar 24, 2026

To support the VA Ann Arbor Health Care System Research Department, the award will be a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract with the University of South Florida for a one-year period to perform lipidomic analysis and sample processing of plasma samples to quantify eicosanoids, including prostaglandins and leukotrienes, as well as specialized pro-resolving mediators (resolvins, protectins, maresins). Deliverables include comprehensive lipidomic data reports with eicosanoid and SPM quantification, pathway analysis, and interpretive summaries; plus expertise in data interpretation and integration with clinical and mechanistic outcomes, and contributions to manuscripts, grant progress reports, and presentations requiring lipidomic input.

USF is uniquely positioned due to its established collaboration with the Ann Arbor VA and its specialized lipidomic capabilities; awarding to another vendor would result in substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delays. Because the intent is sole-source, no solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov. Inquiries may be submitted by email to the contracting officer.
