Summary

AI-generated · May 21, 2026

Lease, deploy, operate, and support four AI-powered Mosquito Surveillance System (MSS) units at designated Eighth Army installations to support force health protection. The MSS must be a field-deployable, integrated smart trap that attracts and captures mosquitoes using attractants and fan-driven airflow, automatically images captured specimens, and uses AI to identify medically important vector species with at least 95% accuracy (examples include Anopheles, Culex tritaeniorhynchus, Aedes albopictus, Culex pipiens, Aedes vexans). Data on captures, species identifications, and trap status must be transmitted to a cloud-based, government-accessible dashboard in near real-time (within about 1 hour of collection). Placement will be at Camp Bonifas, Warrior Base, Dagmar North Training Area, and Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, with final locations subject to approval by the installation Public Health Entomologist; the government may relocate units if initial placement is operationally unsuitable, and contractors should propose locations that optimize capture of medically relevant species in Soldier living, training, and operational environments.

Interested parties should submit capability statements demonstrating the ability to meet the requirements, including relevant experience and technical specifications. This is market research and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposals.
