The anticipated DO will be for all required Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) needed to add the capability to electrically isolate an Engine Room (ER) so that maintenance can occur simultaneously with flight operations or alert conditions on the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Power Conditioning Subsystem (PCS) for Ford Class carriers. The NRE phase is planned to start in FY26 and go through FY28, inclusive of options. The planned contract award date is March 2025. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
