In accordance with Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Thermo-Calc Software proprietary perpetual network license NWL TC-Python, NWL Precipitation Module and maintenance/support. Period Of Performance (POP) 12 months because Without Thermo Calc software, the NETL research projects will be impacted by losing historical data and research data that is currently ongoing. NETL will lose high throughput calculations on hundreds of thousands of compositions required for research projects.
