Pursuant to FAR 5.203(a) posting requirements, The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) on behalf of Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 02 Upstate Medical Centers intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source bridge award to Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, Inc. Contractor: Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. Street Address: 511 Benedict Avenue City, State, Zip: Tarrytown, NY 10591 The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), VISN 02 upstate medical centers require a bridge contract to ensure the continuity of chemistry and immunochemistry FSC Group 66 Cost-Per-Reportable-Result (CPRR) testing that are essential to patient care. The aforementioned contractor is currently performing under contract number 36C24220A0014 with the period of performance concluding on September 30, 2025. The anticipated period of performance for the bridge award is one (1) year, from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026. The anticipated bridge award will be made under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6 Limiting sources. This award will provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) with additional time to competitively solicit the CPRR requirement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This requirement has been submitted to be re-competed under FAR Part 8 procedures; a competitive acquisition is anticipated to be awarded in April 2026. This notice is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (Est) on August 27, 2025. Responses to be submitted to Lindsay Goldsmith, Contracting Officer at lindsay.goldsmith@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
