The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516 with a business size standard of 1,000 employees and PSC 6640. The proposed contract is to replace the current outdated Point of Care Test Analyzers (Cost-Per-Test), consumables. A newer version of the Abbott i-STAT analyzers (Cost-Per-Test) consumables and platform, which the Government intends to solicit, with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This is a notice of intent to award a single-source procurement action and is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation package is available. Firms that want to challenge the single source must show clear and convincing evidence of their capability to provide the services/supplies, and that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
