Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a 12-month base period with 10X Genomics. The requirement is for the procurement of Gem-X Flex samples and NextGEM Flex Kits Salient Characteristics: Table 1: Procurement Needed Description 2 GEM-X Flex Sample Preparation v2 Kit, 48 rxns 3 GEM-X Flex Gene Expression Mouse 4-plex, 16 samples 1 GEM-X Flex Gene Expression Human 4-plex, 16 samples 2 GEM-X Flex Gene Expression Chip Kit, 4 chips 2 Chromium Next GEM Chip Q Single Cell Kit, 16 rxns 2 Chromium Next GEM Single Cell Fixed RNA Sample Preparation Kit, 16 rxns 10X Genomics, Inc, is the exclusive manufacturer of these products. The 10x platform allows for full transcriptional analysis at the single cell level, single-cell RNA sequencing, in formalin fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements and VHAPM Part 813.106-1(b), Other Than Full and Open Competition less than SAT for Open Market Items. This is because the Government asserts that 10X Genomics. LLC is the only contractor that can provide these specific products needed by the Research and Development Service at West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.
