This Justification and Approval (J&A) supports the sole source procurement of two Becker Medical Vacuum Pumps from Wonder State Solutions to replace failed pumps serving patient care areas 83 Med/Surg beds, 6 Acute SCI beds, 4 GI procedure suites, and 4 Operating Rooms. Currently the hospital is on N+0 for a critical patient care medical gas system. Immediate action is required to reduce risk of complete failure of the vacuum pumps. These pumps are vital for patient procedures and life-saving interventions. Pumps must be delivered within one week of award. Pumps must meet the technical requirements for compatibility with existing systems and ensure uninterrupted service to patient care areas. The estimated value of this procurement is , and the pumps must be delivered and installed within one week to ensure continuity of patient care. The following methods were used: Vendor Outreach: Contacted multiple vendors, but none could guarantee delivery within the required timeframe except Wonder State Solutions.
