Stryker PI Drive 2 Plus Motor Drill and the accompanying attachments are being procured to support spinal/neurological surgeries at the VA Phoenix Healthcare System, specifically to resect bone around the spinal cord as part of an All-In-One Neurological System. Brand-name protection is required because the equipment must be fully compatible with the PI Drive software (Stryker Core) and the department’s existing system, with other brands not meeting essential requirements or integrating with current software. This is a sole-source acquisition under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is intended to stay under the SAT, with a spend around the $200K range.

Awards have been issued to TRILLAMED LLC for these items, with each award reflecting a nearly $198K procurement, following an initial justification that cited a purchase amount around $195K. The awards span multiple postings, confirming continued procurement from the same manufacturer, which remains necessary for compatibility with the department’s equipment and software.
